BROKEN RIBS!!!!!!!!! OMG!!
Well, even though there is not much to do for a pulled muscle, I decided to go to the Doctor anyway because I wasn't getting any better and maybe even getting worse. The Doc walked in after X-Rays and told me I was "the toughest person he knows" because I have been teaching Aerobics and Personal training the past 2 weeks with 2 broken ribs! I almost fainted! I never thought that's what was wrong! He showed me the pctures of the X-rays! I went and purchased a rib protector to wear and took the next couple of weeks off from work. I am in Shock! After lots of thinking, I have come to the conclusion that my bodyfat was way too low this year at 9% and that due to the high protein and low carbs, my body was probably pulling calcium from my bones. I did not know there were different types of calcium supplements to take........I have learned a valuable lesson this year. Also, your diet changes as you age. You cant expect to take in the same amount of nutrients for the rest of your life. It constantly changes based on your age and wellness level. It looks like I am through competing for the year. :( |
