Going To Visit Amy!

I decided it was time for a break....well, actually my body insisted it was time for a break. I went to Biloxi to visit my best friend Amy. We went out to eat a few times, watched movies, went to a show at the casino and had a great time catching up. I am having a hard time dealing with not being able to work out.........I keep remembering the Doc's words " you will recover quickly as long as you don't talk, move or breathe. Sometimes people can take a year or long to heal from broken ribs depending on how well you take care of yourself!"......This gives me nightmares

Driving home from Biloxi I had to sneeze a couple of times. This was the worst thing I coulda done! I gripped the steerring wheel cause it hut so bad and then I just freaked out and punched my window and CRACKED IT!! WOW!! I thought windows were hard to break, especially the front glass! This behavior actually scared me. You never know how much exercise really is a stress reliever and how much exercise really does help control anxiety and fight depression until you can't do it. I was going crazy!

Going to see Vegas Dancers at the Magic Casino!

BROKEN RIBS!!!!!!!!! OMG!!

Well, even though there is not much to do for a pulled muscle, I decided to go to the Doctor anyway because I wasn't getting any better and maybe even getting worse. The Doc walked in after X-Rays and told me I was "the toughest person he knows" because I have been teaching Aerobics and Personal training the past 2 weeks with 2 broken ribs! I almost fainted! I never thought that's what was wrong! He showed me the pctures of the X-rays! I went and purchased a rib protector to wear and took the next couple of weeks off from work. I am in Shock!

After lots of thinking, I have come to the conclusion that my bodyfat was way too low this year at 9% and that due to the high protein and low carbs, my body was probably pulling calcium from my bones. I did not know there were different types of calcium supplements to take........I have learned a valuable lesson this year. Also, your diet changes as you age. You cant expect to take in the same amount of nutrients for the rest of your life. It constantly changes based on your age and wellness level. It looks like I am through competing for the year. :(

NPC LA State Bodybuilding & Figure Show 2005!

This is another show I wish I could have done this year. I have only done 2 shows this year but feel like I have done 6 like last year already! I got alot leaner alot faster this year, I think. I am still hurting but decided almost at the last minute that I was not going to miss the chance to meet Pro Figure Competitiors: Jenny Lynn & Elaine Goodlad. They gave a seminar at Red's in Lafayette the morning of the show. I felt very good with the information that I received. There was no surprises and I seem to be on top of things in the Figure World. I am glad to know the Pros have some of the same thoughts and feelings as us on the National & regional levels. It was kinda depressing sitting in the audience watching and knowing that I would rather be on that stage!

Figure Pro: Jenny Lynn

Elaine just turned over 40! WOW!!

Somethings Wrong! :(

This week I have not felt good at all and haven't been able to workout. I think I pulled a muscle over the fourth of July weekend playing a little football.....Yeah, I know I shouldn't be so rough! Haha!
